2026 Subaru Impreza

The 2026 Subaru Impreza offers two SUBARU BOXER engine options. The Sport trim uses a direct-injection 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The RS features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The 2026 Subaru Impreza’s all-wheel-drive system continuously distributes power to all four wheels and can transfer power to the wheels with more grip when slip is detected. Subaru Intelligent Drive is standard on both trims. The RS also includes a sport-tuned suspension designed to provide more responsive handling.

The 2026 Subaru Impreza provides seating for five passengers and up to 120.9 cubic feet of total interior volume. The cargo area offers 20.4 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. Folding the standard 60/40-split rear seatbacks increases maximum cargo capacity to 56 cubic feet. The Sport includes cloth upholstery with red contrast stitching. The RS adds unique RS cloth upholstery with red accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter handle, and aluminum-alloy pedal covers. Heated front seats are available on the Sport and standard on the RS. Both trims also include roof crossbar mounting points for carrying compatible cargo accessories.

Every 2026 Subaru Impreza includes an 11.6-inch Subaru Multimedia Plus touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto integration. Wireless Bluetooth pairing, hands-free smartphone operation, Keyless Entry, and Push-Button Start are also standard. Front USB-A and USB-C input and charging ports are standard on both trims. The RS adds rear USB-A and USB-C charging ports. Wireless device charging is available, while the RS offers an available Harman Kardon premium audio system with 10 speakers and a 432-equivalent-watt amplifier.

EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on every 2026 Subaru Impreza. The system includes Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering. Automatic Emergency Steering can provide steering and braking support when the system determines that there is sufficient space to help avoid a collision. Rear-seat side airbags are also standard on both trims. Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are available on the Sport and standard on the RS. These systems are designed to assist the driver and do not replace attentive driving.

The 2026 Subaru Impreza RS adds the 180-horsepower 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine, a sport-tuned suspension, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, RS cloth upholstery, rear USB charging ports, and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. An available package adds features including a power moonroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless device charging, and the Harman Kardon premium audio system.
