The 2026 Subaru WRX is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter SUBARU BOXER engine that produces 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power is delivered through Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system for balanced traction and stability in varying road conditions. Drivers can choose between a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an available Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT) automatic. The SPT includes paddle shifters and selectable drive modes, including a performance-focused setting for sharper throttle response. The WRX also features a sport-tuned suspension designed to enhance handling precision and cornering stability.

The 2026 Subaru WRX features a driver-focused interior designed for performance driving and everyday comfort. Front sport-design seats provide supportive bolstering to help hold occupants in place during spirited driving. The cabin includes available Recaro performance seats on select trims for enhanced support and comfort.
